Police said they are making every effort to identify those involved - but need help from the public
The faces of six men and one woman have been released by police as they continue to investigate the far-right protests in Blackpool.
Police have said that they expect to make further arrests and charges after the disorder. Twenty people were arrested in the protests on Saturday (3 August) with three people since pleading guilty. They will appear in court in September.
It has not been made clear what offences the seven people pictured are suspected of.
A spokesperson for police said: "We’ve been investigating since Saturday and have a dedicated team of detectives who are making every effort to identify all of those involved in disorder, but we are now asking for your help."
Anyone with information about any of the people in the images should contact police on 101 quoting log 0391 of August 3 or you can email [email protected]
This comes after fears over a repeat of Saturday amounted to something significantly smaller yesterday (7 August).
Police made two arrests in Blackpool after a small group of people gathered, responding to online calls for violent protest that had been shared via social media.
However, the response was minor with only a small group of men and youths gathered to wave flags and sing songs.
More than 6,000 riot police officers were placed on standby nationwide to respond to more than 100 planned protests - and counter protests.
Phil Davies, assistant chief constable at Lancashire Constabulry, said: "In Blackpool, we witnessed some minor disruption, with officers engaging proactively with protesters. Two arrests were made with the remaining protest activity concluding peacefully."
