The numbers are in: more than 400,000 were BANNED from taking part in this historic, era-defining election because they lacked voter ID.
That’s not all.
Unnecessary voter ID laws disproportionately impacted those from minority ethnic backgrounds, who are more than twice as likely to lack valid photo ID than middle-class white people - the majority of the Tory base.
And let’s be clear: impersonation fraud doesn't exist.
Following the 2019 general election, only one individual was convicted of election fraud through impersonation.
But during the election campaign and since assuming office, Starmer's government has not committed to abolishing voter ID checks, despite initially opposing the idea.
We demand Labour scrap this dangerous, deeply damaging law and demonstrate what democracy is supposed to be about.
This general election was the first to introduce new voter ID rules, and it must be the last.

This petition will be delivered to all party leaders and every member of Parliament.
